Research on Coronavirus Disease through IUS cooperation within SDSN

Dean of the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), Prof. Dr. Emel Topçu, participated in the Erasmus + partnership project for cross-border intercultural and social entrepreneurs with partner organizations from Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The project dealt with deep understanding and proposing practical solutions for delivering SDGs. The research was also joined by IUS Senior Assistant, Serap Fišo, who recently successfully completed a Seminar on public health through the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).

Distinguished Professor Topçu and Senior Assistant Fišo are currently working on their research on gender, public health and migration, and their research focuses on highlighting the importance of public health strategies, as part of a principled universal approach to public health services. In order to have access to information from around the world regarding COVID-19, IUS academicians took an part in the conference Economics of Coronavirus within the SDSN network. As representatives of IUS at this virtual conference event, which aimed to examine the impact of COVID-19 on public health and publish the recommendations of world scientists with science-based answers, IUS professors made a significant contribution to IUS participation in the global implementation of SDG goals.
