Architecture Department Exhibition: IUS Campus Sustainability Project

Students of IUS Architecture Department, under the supervision of their professor Prof.Dr. Tarek El-Akkad, have organized an exhibition „Sustainable Design Studio: IUS Campus Project“. The main goal of the exhibition was to use the existing IUS campus area and make it more sustainable by using different strategies to design new landscape layout and provide circulation that will follow logical order. The suggested plan is actually a proposal of new planting schemes for green areas and different types of gardens and greenhouses in empty spots. Student of the second cycle of Architecture and Scholarship Assistant Kenan Hodžić presented the project to the attendees and explained the benefits of fostering environmentally-friendly elements at the IUS campus.

The exhibition was also attended by the IUS Rector Prof.Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, who gave his insight and suggestions on further project development supporting the implementation of the proposed design in the near future.
